Drum Set Recording

Over time I have recorded hundreds of drum sets always working to get a great sound. When you have different drum sets, players and style of music being flexible in your setup will give you the best outcome. I now start out with the less amount of mic's on the drums and then add if needed. Too many mics, phasing issues. The best sound I have ever got was 4 mics on the set on a rock music album. It has alot to do with the drummer and how they pull the sound out from the drums. Check us out! Binary Recording Studio

Animation Work at Binary Recording Studio

In building a animation we often provide a animatic for the client. A simple explanation of a animatic is a storyboard in motion with simple zooms and pans to simulate camera movement.  Animatics are animated video storyboards. This is the stage that we do the timing of the images with simple motion.
In a .60 sec. animation this helps to determine the length of the section and where the time should be spent on telling the story.  www.binaryrecordingstudio.com

Sometimes the sound effects or soundtrack are included to give the client a feel of the piece. This is a inexpensive way to test the animation before all the elements are added.

Below a example of a motion comic we produced from still image drawings.

Vintage Mic Pre's

Mic Pre's are one of the main tool in the studio, at Binary Recording Studio we like to offer a selection of different mic pre's for creating a sound.

We have 3 Ampex MX10 4-channel Tube Pre / Mixers in the studio. I am starting to really like the sound they offer, using them more everyday. www.binaryrecordingstudio.com #recordingstudio #vocals #guitar
