Drum Set Recording

Over time I have recorded hundreds of drum sets always working to get a great sound. When you have different drum sets, players and style of music being flexible in your setup will give you the best outcome. I now start out with the less amount of mic's on the drums and then add if needed. Too many mics, phasing issues. The best sound I have ever got was 4 mics on the set on a rock music album.
