SSL Fusion at Binary Recording Studio

 We were given the Solid State Logic Fusion processor by a great friend of the Studio.  This device adds some amazing color / tone to a 2 mix or individual stems.  Looking forward to using this on some of our mixes.  Binary Recording Studio

Vocal Recording, Binary Recording Studio

 The other day I had a great singer in the studio with a very dynamic , loud vocal delivery.  I tried some of my great mics but he would distort the capsule of the mic every so often.   Ask him to back up on some of his parts and play the mic, no luck.

So the mic that ended up working for the session was the Shure SM7B Cardioid Dynamic.  I used a tube mic pre and let him rip.  The mic worked great for his style of singing.   Binary Recording Studio
